Transport and handling systems for flat glass
If sensitive handling of material is a must in the above-mentioned industries it is absolutely essential in the glass industry. Here, fault means breakage - and with glass pane dimensions of 6 x 3.21 m, breakage can mean a lot of broken glass!
Since SYSTRAPLAN was founded in 1974, the company has successful completed many panel handling projects across a variety of processing industries.
SYSTRAPLAN has established itself within the glass industry in Germany, Europe and elsewhere based on its “know how??? and expertise in the following sectors:
- laminated glass handling
- suface coating plants
- mirror coating lines
- processing of flat and convex cut-to-size glass
Design and installation of complete conveying systems for the glass industry
For example: glass feeding, laminated glass production, mirror coating, feeding and stacking systems for glass processing machines and safety-glass lines.
Complete electrical and control systems can be supplied with either conventional PLC logic or a VDU-based operation station.
Manufacture of feeding and stacking machines for glass processing plants
For example: feeding of a coating line for 6 x 3.2 m sizes (HKZ plant). The glass, stacked vertically in a frame, is picked up by a gantry handling device and then positioned onto a lifting table. The glass pick-up units consist of both vacuum and clamping systems.
Manufacture of individual sections of more extensive production lines
For example: Paper coating and stacking of glass jumbos (6 x 3.2m). The transportation and cyclical feed of the filled vertical stack frames uses hydraulic carriages without the need for pits.

These standard concepts are then adapted to customer requirements.
